Monthly Children and Youth Shabbat Morning Service

The children and youth service on a Shabbat morning is aimed at primarily older Elementary students (3rd Grade upwards) through Junior High School.  It takes place once a month beginning at 10.45am and lasts for an hour.  The service is located either in the library or the social hall depending upon the number of participants on that Shabbat.

Services for this age group consists of T’fila (prayer) a discussion of the weeks Parsha and a game.  There is a Kiddush sponsored by the families of the participants.

On March 13th the main service is being led by our teens and we are also fortunate to be hosting Sofer Neil Yerman who repaired our Sifrei Torah.

Join us to support our teens and our guest this Shabbat morning.

Today's World Through Torah's Eyes

CABI's family discussion program.  This program is open to adults and teens and is run once a month at the synagogue on a Wednesday evening 7.30pm - 8.30pm.

At each program, we take a point for discussion, often relevant to current affairs, but certainly relevant to our own lives, discuss it, and then finish up by looking at what our Rabbis would teach us.

This  learning program is fully interactive and I hope you will join us.  Everyone over the age of Bnai Mitzvah is welcome and I particularly hope to see some of our community thinkers there.
If you have an opinion, this is the place to be.

By request, I will be repeating the last program which looked at the events surrounding and possible ramifications of the recent Swiss ban on the building of new minarets in Switzerland.  Come see a short video presentation, find out what has happened and discuss how this affects our ability to freely choose and worship.

The next program will be in April, date TBD in the first classroom at 7.30pm.  For more details contact Abi Taylor-Abt at programs@ahavathbethisrael.org
